Joining us at Canary Wharf is Karen Henriksen, the designer who creates beautifully detailed hats in her London studio using high quality fabrics. Karen’s signature approach is to revisit classic styles for both men and women using innovative pattern-cutting. Her work includes trilby hats, rain hats, flat caps, berets and cloche hats.
Karen will present her Windswept rain hat, available in a range of colours including a new punchy red wax cotton. The Windswsept style also comes in a cool digitally-printed linen or silk cap style, with magnified leaf, thorn and petal details – great with a simple dress for those warmer spring days. The range of caps is also available for men in linen, silk tweed or wax cotton.
Karen will also present the popular Denham hat in a stylish black and white silk tweed – a classic trilby style revisited and worn by David Tennant!
Karen’s approach is that of a sculptor in fabric, innovating with pattern-cutting techniques for each hat design. Karen’s work is so distinctive that her clients confess to being stopped by complete strangers, asking them where they got their hat from!
Karen says: “I’m really looking forward to MADE LONDON – Canary Wharf! It will be a great opportunity to connect with some of my favourite clients, and showcase my spring and mid-season designs to an audience who won’t have seen my work before.”
